I’ve been stuck in a kind of blogging limbo, because we finally have our new hosting all up, and the domains are activated, and exams have been arranged into a nice pile on top of my head so I can’t think about anything else. And those who know me, know I can’t put up a shoddy layout or half-worked site. So Eternity’s new home will have to wait just a liiiiitle longer.

However, I’ve got one site up and running. That would be The Nook, a writing site that I’ve run for my friends for… some 5 or 6 odd years now. Its basically stories written in first person according to many characters. So the story doesn’t just progress from one narrator’s viewpoint, you see many angles that may or may not seem connected until they slam into each other. It’s ridiculously interesting, and if you’re like me and like a creative diversion, this is so hard to live without. It’s why we’ve never been able to let it go, and why it keeps coming back year after year. There’s really few of us, so new members are always welcome. As long as you contribute and do it in good fun, we don’t mind any level of writing, and we love members that help us take our own writings in new directions. If you’re interested, these stories have no deadlines, just head on over and sign up (and mention that you came from here so I know who it is). Go ahead and click the [ link ]

Hmm, and random story - in today’s exam there was this one “doh!” moment, where all my stuff was piled up on the tiny little desklet that folds out, and I reached in front to get my calculator out of my bag and dropped my pen. So my friend next to me rolls her eyes and hands me her pen, but I waive it off and say I have another. So I reach for that and knock her papers so HER pen falls off her desk. Then I felt stupid for a bit. Lol… just thought I’d share.

Lol, lame title, je sais… BUT there are a few things that I’m kind of excited to get going.

1. Xangelo and I purchased our own domain, so Eternity will be moving sometime this week after many, many years being hosted by the lovely Viitoria.  I’ll put the link up once the move is finalized and I’ve got the files working again after moving them.

2. Thanksgiving was so refreshing in that I got to meet up with my wonderfully weird friends, we watched Across the Universe (which is so trippy and I loved it), and mostly chatted.  What I like most about us is that we “interact” more than just chat or hang out.  Its good.

3. After a bit of prodding and “PUH-LEASE”-ing on Xangelo’s part I’ve thought about attempting a webcomic of sorts, which will be hosted on our new domain once that gets through.  It’s going to be called Be Right Back, and will be based on the interactions between me and my friends communicating long distance at our various Universities, mostly through IM means.  Hopefully it will not be too “us” specific, but it is a fun project for those who are in it :P   That link will be posted as well.

In the meantime, here is the first EVER strip of Be Right Back (the characters and layout are still being worked on, so things WILL likely change as time goes on): [ link ]

I am SO excited to be heading home.  It wasn’t like this last year, but I think the fact that I spent all summer in the States and didn’t get to see my friends, PLUS the fact that my parents and I get along a helluva lot better once I’m not there on a day-to-day basis, lol.

We’re not even doing anything special because its such a busy time, BUT just enough for me to meet, greet, and catch up a little in person after having been reduced to msn for a good year+.

I’m also getting the latest Photoshop and Flash, AND we’re going to buy a domain so Eternity might be moving :O :O!!

Let’s see my parents will arrive in an hour or two to pick me up :D

Oh and one last thing, to my last post, I do understand cultural differences and that’s what made me give him the benefit of the doubt.  BUT my point was that however good he is, the communication is lacking, and that’s hurting our ability to learn.  Which I have a problem with.  My standards for overall traumatizing teaching goes to IB Chem on all accounts, so aenariele… not quite worse :P

I’m so excited to be heading hooooooooome :D !!!

A Brief Aside
Me, Myself, and...
I am - 19. Sophomore in University. Ottawa, Canada. Creative. Impulsive. Introspective. Looking for change. Disillusioned - but trying to be so much more. I feel a bit in between right now. I see the world in shades of grey, but I'd love to feel like I've found a place in the world again.
